Just a correction on Nique Clifford. He was not playing behind anyone at CU. He started 31 games in the 2022-23 season at CU and started 17 in the 2021-22 season. And the step-down comment is uninformed. CSU has received 2 at large bids the last 3 years. CU has received one. Is that a step down or a step up?

You're right, I could have phrased that better. I more meant behind Da Silva in terms of offensive pecking order.

Then while it is true that Colorado State has gotten more at large bids than Colorado, it was a step down because the Mountain West Conference was a worse league than the Pac-12. Now that the Pac-12 is basically down to 2 teams its not, but in terms of overall strength and reputation, it was a step down. Yes I know the Mountain West had a lot more at large bids this season, and it exceeded expectations a lot. He transferred to a worse conference, and yes Colorado State has been a better team.

Thanks for the reply! I was planning on adding that your analysis of draft status seems right on from my view. Isaiah Stevens is a phenomenal offensive player and a great teammate and on court coach. But he hardly ever guarded the other teams best guard. Probably partly to give him a break (he often played 38,39, 40 minutes a game),.but he also seems to lack the lateral quickness that one would need to be an undersized NBA point guard. And your analysis of Nique seems right on.and as you say was.hia offense a one year thing or a permanent long term improvement.from CU. His defense and work ethic are solid. I will say a lot of players excel in Medved's offensive system. And Nique is the only 4 star recruit Medved has ever had (as a freshman or a transfer).

Thanks man! Yeah, Isaiah Stevens I think was a very good college guard, he'll make a decent amount of money, but probably not in the NBA. Nique is such an interesting player. Based off the film this season, he looked like a first round pick in my opinion. The problem is the context behind it, and the fact that he didn't really stand out that much at Colorado makes me hesitate. Not that he wasn't good at Colorado, just not an NBA guy to me.
